I went on foot to avoid triggering wild encounters.
Gen 4 really hated any instance of speed.

It's the hassle of opening the menu, selecting the item and accepting using it.
In the long run I would have saved time but it would have been more irritating.

Then express yourself correctly. I farmed apricorns, so routes 29-32, 42, 43, 45 had mandatory grass patches (or water), also 37 and 38 to avoid flying more than I have to.

then you are indeed, a dunce since you simply can afford 5 super repels. You make money super easy with gym rematches or with trainer rematches if you haven't beat the elite yet, so I fail to see a problem you being lazy is not bad game design. might as well go back to spoofing in GO.
