Half the fangame makers out there seem unironically mentally ill, and the other half lives in fear of Nintendo's legal team, so the only incentive I have to work your ass off for months is just to satisfy my own desire; point is, I know myself, and I know how big of a stupid fucking perfectionist I am, so I don't think I'll ever be able to produce anything that will actually be good enough in my eyes (be it because of my own fault or because of technical limitations)
