In XY the first mega evolution was Lucario, in ORAS it was Rayquaza, in XY the cannon is what created the mega stones, in ORAS it was Rayquaza. SwSh will absolutely retcon Dynamaxing into Sinnoh the same was Megas were retconned into ORAS.

Fairy is also retconned in ORAS as having already existed BEFORE XY. When you meet Sina and Dexio in XY though they tell you
