I just don’t get this. Like, have it be where you can change the Pokéball at the cost of one in your inventory, Master Ball and Cherish Ball excluded. It’s simple as fuck.

Because there should be parts of collecting pokemon that's special and requires some amount of effort. It also encourages trading with people to get a pokemon in a rare ball.

This is a non argument. If you can buy an unlimited number of a certain ball, you should be able to swap balls out in exchange for one in your inventory. It’s that simple. You can exclude stuff like Apricorn Balls, Master and Cherish Balls, etc., but there’s no reason my starter shouldn’t be allowed to be put in a luxury ball.

You can literally buy balls from the mart is why your argument for “worthwhile” things about Pokémon catching is dumb. All VC Pokémon come in plain Pokéballs and clash with my other mons. There should be an NPC that can swap out buyable Pokéballs on your mon. Apricot balls and master/cherish/dream balls can be excluded for rarity.

Why exclude them if you gotta have them in the first place?
Let's say switching balls destroys the old one, then if you want to put you shiny new Metapod in a masterball you would still need to have that only one in your bag and use it. So the rare ones stay rare. So why not include every kind of ball?

How does being able to buy balls relate to my argument?
What I'm saying is making some pokemon + ball combinations only available in certain generations rewards people who have transferred their pokemon from past games, and thanks to ball breeding it also encourages trading. Since the poke ball a pokemon is in doesn't have any competitive value, there's nothing wrong with making it difficult to obtain good balltism.
You sound like you just don't own any older games and thus are upset you can't get your combination. Go to /wfg/ or something and see if someone has what you're looking for.

I own literally every game. Past games there were only 1 luxury ball in the whole game. Premier balls weren’t in Fire Red/Leaf Green. GO only has 4 balls. Let’s GO has 5. Most games you have to wait for the whole game to be over to get to the end game and buy the balls you want. VC Pokémon are forced in Pokéballs even if balltism is used in game. It’s not rocket science; if you can buy the ball in a mart, you should be able to swap any buyable ball out. They’re unlimited gaming assets unlike the Apricorn Balls, Dream, Cherish, and Master Balls.

Question for those who don’t just chuck quick balls, Do you use one set of balls? Or do you like to match poké balls to pokemon ex: Solgaleo matches the color of the level ball. Or Dialga in a repeat ball because of the clock animation

I use those pokemon generators just to get more moon balls. I take one of their generic legendaries, give it a moon ball as the held item, then take the moon ball and wondertrade the legendary.
