>>460647407/10 Designs are really cool overall, but theres a small fault in the starters as a set. An ideal starter set should have 3 different lines that appeal to different people. These starters have diferent themes and inspirations, but they kinda give off a similar vibe, specially the fire and water ones. The artist should attempt to make the 3 starters appeal to different tastes. Dont know if this happened because the artist likes pokemon this way and projects its personal taste in them, or if its just a design tendency. The most evident element is the eyes, the 3 all have semi-closed eyes.
>>460647566/10 The 3 are fine, its just a matter of personal preference, but i wouldn't use any of these 3 in a playthrough. The art and concepts are good though. I kinda dislike the grass one wields weapons intead of having regular blade-arms like a mantis. It looks like it would be more fitting as a design if it was a non-starter bug/fighting. The water and fire seem like random animal+concept+type the artist choosed and slapped together, theres nothing inherently wrong with this, but still did not like how they ended up.
>>460648047/10 They kinda look really simple and bland, and the old sprite art attempts to mitigate it. Still, the 3 look great, the grass one is cool, but doesnt feel like a starter. I love the water one. The first stages look horrible, it doesnt really matter because the final stages are the most important.
>>460651179/10 Your set of starters excels at delivering starters with different attractive and personality, this is important when every player is supposed to choose from these but only choose one. I am amazed by the grass and water ones, they are great. I dislike the fire one, but probably its just my personal preference, nothing inherently wrong with it.
