Every generation I always find a fair bit of Pokemon designs I love and some I dislike but I've never outright hated a single Generation of new Pokemon. Anyone else feel a similar way?

no, the gen 8 dex is 100% made of pokemon that i dont like
i thought at first it might be me, but i like other creature designs from other games, i even like a small amount of fan designs so i suppose i just have the opposite opinion of what a pokemon should look like than james turner

I pretty much let go of the idea that Pokemon needs to maintain a certain artstyle in Gen 5. But I can understand why Gen 8 can be disappointing for some people.

I used to have the sentiment that Gen 5 Pokemon were fucking awful but after looking through the dex I actually like a ton of them, not the Ice Cream but still it's a lot better than I originally gave it credit for.

Not every Pokemon is or has to be designed to suit my tastes, and I enjoy that other anons like Pokemon that I don't. I'm okay with Pokemon I don't like. I always find something to appreciate. Admittedly, Gen 8 has fewer than previous gens, but just one new Pokemon that I really like and I'm happy. Shitty games come and go but the Pokemon, few as they might be, stick around (well, I mean... let's hope...)
