Just doing a regular run with set battle style, no overleveling, and using whatever 6 pokemon you want, is less difficult, but is more enjoyable and you actually use battle strategy more. That is because the point of nuzlockes is artificial difficulty and luck. Beating a hard battle 5-10 levels underleveled takes more skill than beating a nuzlocke challenge.
You lose a nuzlocke run if you are too risky, but if you do not take risks, its dull and boring. Actual fun battles are mainly decided by proper decisions during the battle, not outside of it
