I can be conscious of and aggravated by the fact that GF has gotten so lazy and is a shell of their former selves while still enjoying the new games, and that’s just what I do; and if my literal child relatives like the games designed for their demographic why is it bad to get it for them. People complain the games are for little kids now, what’s wrong with gifting it to little kids? I wanna give them the closest experience they can get to the magic of og Pokemon, even if it’s nowhere near the same nowadays. The core aspects of the series are where my enjoyment is stemmed from; I like turn based battles, I like new Pokemon, I like GF’s music, I like beating 8 leaders and then the E4. Pokemon will always have those things so I will always enjoy them probably, even if I can also be aware that games like XY and SwSh are dumpster fires compared to the series at large. This fanbase is too black in white in their mentality, the us or them; it’s okay to hate GF’s practices and loathe the stage of the series while still having fun with the games, I know plenty of people who do and I know a lot of people on here haven’t admitted that they feel that way. That being said, I do think USUM are the best games since HGSS. Based gif choice btw anon
