>>46085163i actually came up with a full set of gym leaders/elite four members a few days ago. i might as well post it here.
1. Ground - lead by Everest, a peppy girl with a love of hiking and nature. puzzle involves climbing up a rock wall while avoiding other trainers falling from the top. victory gives you the trail badge.
2. Ice - lead by Vlad, a kind foreigner with a thick accent and a huge body. puzzle is a minigame where you have to get one of your pokemon to bench more than your opponents with button mashing. victory gives you the north badge
3 and 4 can be done in any order
3. Electric - lead by Mr. Wattz, the wealthy owner of a hydroelectric plant. he's way too busy to fight you when you first arrive, so instead of sending you out, he hires you to do some temp work at the plant. after finishing 3 jobs, you fight him. victory gives you the circuit badge.
4. Fire - lead by Bernie, a trader from the desert. nobody tells you he's the fire gym leader until you buy 3 items from him, and he refuses to battle until you've bought 10 items, with Bernie marking up the price each time. after defeating him, he gives you your money back and the oasis badge.
after beating the last 2 gyms, 5 and 6 can also be completed in any order.
5. Dragon - lead by Tanaka, a director of monster movies. puzzle involves wrecking a diorama of a city for his next film. defeating him gives you the king badge.
6. Grass - lead by Peyote, an old hippie with a love of camping. after you help him set up his chairs, tent, and drum circle, he battles you. be careful, he loves to use status moves, especially sleep moves. victory gives you the vision badge.
same deal with 7 and 8. you can choose which one you do first.
7. Steel - ran by Tina, an uptight historian in a museum who loves to talk. answer all of her trivia questions right, and she gives you the badge right away. answer any wrong, however, and she won't hold back. victory gives you the relic badge.
