i got to the elite four in diamond and my entire team was decently underleveled, but to make it worse i grabbed a clefariy i had and gave it like stealth rock or some shit because i thought itd make a great opening move, and for some reason i though it having a lot of hp would save me from the fact that it was level 30.Every fight ended up opening with clefairy getting killed instantly(or missing and then getting killed), the strat literally never worked once. and because my team was entirely pokemon that i liked, which is just whoever i ended up liking on my journey+starter and bird, and they were underleveled, i ended up taking like an hour and a half to clear the elite 4 in the most desperate battles of my life. it was insanely fun but i knew if i had spent even 2 seconds learning about moves or whatever i couldve probably a much easier time
