There actually are some others in Kalos that don't use the circle either, like that path to the palace on Route 6 where pokemon can jump you from the bushes, liked that one as well. I haven't played Gen 7 enough to remember if it even did use the circles and which ones didn't.
I hate that gen 6-8's online battles don't let you choose a battle background and keep you looking at that boring simulated room with the simulated audience. Why bother even letting me choose the battle music if I can't choose the scenery as well?
A lot of them you online see once during the story campaign, like the battle with Shauna on the bridge, a total waste of resources
seems like one Gen 8 had such generic battle backgrounds lmao.
