I actually got here as a kid. I was just chilling around Sky Pillar and Pacifidlog and found it randomly one day. I only found Wynaut there and thought it was mad gay so I just looked for items then dipped. Don't even remember if I picked up the Liechi berry, and I restarted the save file like a month later anyways. Honestly don't get the hype aside from the "woahhh you have a .000001 chance to find it in your playthrough!!!". Never touched contests either cause that's a waste of time so that's probably another reason why I never cared about the Liechi berry

The annyoing part was not the low chance, it was having to check in daily by talking to the NPC if you finally got lucky. No sane kid would want to go through that shit. Even with the best intentions most people would get tired after day 5.
