>>46086803yes. there are many reasons not to treat sinnoh like any other random region. being the last before bw's "reboot", and finally introducing the legendary pokemon at the very top lore wise, means they basically acted as the end of an era of pokemon (for the second time after gsc, you could say). they were also the first games on the ds, an extremely successful console (on a related note i think dp were the most sold games after gen 1 and 2), and so they served as an introduction to pokemon for zoomers, while at the same time older players were starting to leave the franchise. lastly, with all the new bs like primals and the ultra world, they got a lot to talk about as for how they relate to the sinnoh lore
>>46086877i was referring to how, in spite of everyone expecting z, sm came out instead because it was the 20th anniversary, and that resulted in a rushed game when instead we could've gotten an actually improved and coherent version of xy. the same way right now a majority of the people is expecting dp.
