5/10 The first stages are great but i find the rest mediocre. The grass one having a whole pine doesn't really end up looking smooth, it looks kinda forced into its design. I don't personally like the other 2 either. The water and grass middle stages have a face too similar to its final forms. The grass middle stage is the only middle stage that i like.
>>460914317/10 Definately an improvement over the bidoof line, not sure about the color palette, i personally think it looks good though. The wood-like beard and the teeth from the final form are a bit ugly
>>46091494>>460916314/10 Its maybe just that in old sprites the type of designs you can properly express is more limited, but the design itself is a bit dull. Its not ugly, its just conceptually poor. It just looks like a monster, you cant really tell anything else from looking at it besides that it has crystals which i guessed could be ice or some gem when first seeing it. Making it an ambiguous monster doesn't mean you can just put random concepts and details together. You dont have to make a simple cartoon depicting just a real life animal or mythological creature, but there still needs to be some minimal synergy with the elements the design is based around.

Its fine, because your art and the design ended up looking really charismatic, but i personally slightly dislike your approach to its concept, you could have implemented it more naturally instead of just merging it with its back. But the art is amazing
>>460917884/10 Looks too much like a doll, pokemon should not look too mechanical/artificial overall, but the few robot/artificial evolutionary lines should be the exception, i personally would have made it more mechanical-looking. Its just a stickman with a copule of screws and a cable tail.
>>460920916/10 Not bad but not impressive, simply a cool hermit-crab design that isnt just a hermit crab, not that original though
