Don't you remember how he started working on SM as soon as he finished development on SM, and the concept art we got shown was dated before ORAS released, so clearly the director "moves on" quite a bit before the game comes out to our hands.
DLC was not directed by Ohmori, meaning he was surely free to do DP remakes like when he did SM after ORAS.
