Steel type is the best type, especially with Max Steelspike.
Has access to trickroom.
It also pair well with Landorus thanks to Telepathy, who can earthquake freely.

Yeah and it didn't feel necessary until now.
Now you have to run Intimidate because it's a way to keep Zacian in check, otherwise it will demolish you. Before that intimidate felt actually balanced.

Probably for Clear Body. The biggest argument is, since you're likley to be running protect on both, is if you want the SE DR of Prism Armor or undroppable stats with Clear Body.

Lapras was used a lot more in the seasons before DLC. Hmit was considered tanky but really weak in damage output previously so its easy to move around. Now with Zacian and other pokemon who can't max the dual screen bulk is actually once again relevant as support.

I had some fun using it with Weakness Policy, plus Surf Raichu and Gastrodon. I also had Grimmsnarl on the team though, as Ho-Oh’s just a great fit for it.

Groudon needs 2 hits for Grassy Glide to take it out, but Wood Hammer can OHKO it. So you'd need to be able to outspeed Groudon without priority to help you or in doubles use your teammate to take away the rest of Groudon's health.

Not particularly.
Electroweb doesn't work on things immune to electricity, or on things immune to getting their stats lowered.
Tailwind tends to be much better.
