>>46096819Are you forgetting you don't get the flute to move the Snorlax's until after you circle back to Lavender Town? Or how about needing Brock's tea from Celadon to get the gate guards to let you pass. You don't get surf until you go to Koga's city. And the gym leaders all have a requirement to get past them.
Brock - Have to have a grass or water type Pokemon in your party.
Misty - Have to have at least one level 15 Pokemon or above in your party.
Surge - Have to board the SS Anne first since you need the Secret Technique Chop Down to access his gym.
Erika - Need a cute Pokemon in your party, Pikachu or Eevee counts.
Koga - Need 50 species of Pokemon registered in your Pokedex to challenge him.
Sabrina - Need to have at least one level 45 or higher Pokemon in your party. (This means you have to outlevel her team which only goes up to level 44).
Blaine - Have to go do the Mansion on the island first since Blaine left the secret key there.
Giovanni - Have to have the seven other badges first before you can challenge him.
Sabrina's requirement requires grinding levels and Giovanni is the last gym leader you'll take on by requirement.
