It's a nice change of pace for a recent Pokemon game. Definitely a breath of fresh air after USUM with it's simplicity. I'd say 40 is an alright price, but I'd try to go for 35

The gameplay is enjoyable, but leaves me wanting a lot compared to mainline gameplay. However, the game is very cute and overall a pleasant nostalgic experience.
If you really love the world of Pokémon, I think $40 is fair to experience a new take on it. But don't buy it if you're just looking for more Pokémon gameplay.
