Start with Let's plays or theories/new game discussion. Once you get enough popularity making a video with a more popular poketuber can help get attention. Eventually if you want to follow trends you could make a fakemon/fan region videos series with your own ideas. Those always get good views.

Don't go full autist and make 60+ episodes of a single playthrough. Record yourself to add your reactions during fucked up moments. Just put highlights and make some meme edits. Have a three day schedule where you post videos about specific topics on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and stream on Twitch or Youtube on the weekends. Literally the easiest way to get a following is through streaming. If people like you they will watch your videos, which in turns feeds the algorithm into recommending you to others and the loop continues.

whatever they would want to talk about. if it were me i would just start recording and just speak whatever comes to mind. the worst thing you can do when making these types of videos is script things out. just let thoughts flow out. of course add in the occasional pokemon/videogame news but i wouldn't rely on it too much since there's already a ton of people that do that.

It's rarely about content and mostly about personality. Pokemon is pretty fertile for topics, but not so much for space in those topics. First, figure out your area of interest - competitive, lore, fangames, challenges, etc. Of anything, generic trivia or le top tens is the most dependent on personality since that shit is a dime a dozen and can be easily read on Bulbapedia/no one cares. I really enjoy the lore stuff (not theories though), but also competitive analysis. /vp/ hates Poketubers anyway so maybe asking here is a bad first step, but gl - as other anons have said, be sincere. Sharing interests can be infectious, and definitely has a magnetism that will last longer than any attempt to just stay trendy.

4. Try to think outside the box, don’t do let’s plays and card pack openings because there’s already a plethora of all that.

Like >>46111654 said. It's more about personality. For example I like to watch PokeaimMD and Blunder because they just have so much fun playing the game (especially when they play together). As long as you enjoy what you're doing and not forcing out videos to meet a schedule I think you're good.
