You aren't the market anon. The target audience aren't going to go back to potato hardware to play an even older game in the series, you didn't say to your ma "actually mother, I'd rather the original Red and a brick game boy to play instead", you ate up FRLG with the handholding metal claw 'mander like a good consoomer child. Hence why they're going to remake Sinnoh - because the wee scuts running around who just joined the franchise this gen will buy it and play it quite happily.

That's why I'm playing it right now, anon.
Main thing I wanna see from the remakes is the region reimagined in a gen 8 style, hopefully much more fine tuned.
DLC areas of SwSh were, so I'm hopeful at least. My biggest nightmare is that it ends up like ORAS and is basically unchanged down to tile placement.
