1. Its 25th annivesary.
2. We had no new game last year, only DLC. Its Pokemon. We will get a game this fall, especially because of point no. 1

That is if they started working on this game like mid last year which is doubtful. Im positive they will have new game for this year AND for the annivesary (if its a remake its even easier to do).

Next game after that might face some delay though
