selection of returning mons is about the same. you get access to the nat dex after sootopolis, but at that point it barely matters.
team motivations are improved and the story in general is better than the original RS, but they shove legendaries even harder in ORAS (since Rayquaza gets an entire story arc dedicated to him)
overall you might like them, or maybe not. People who played Emerald are pissed because it didn't include its improvements, but if you haven't, I feel everything ORAS did right is pretty evenly counterbalanced by everything it did wrong (including things that were downgraded from the originals), and by how divisive some of the changes will be as a whole (like the more linear story progression). Somehow I feel like disliking the originals might actually make you like ORAS better, so I think if you really want to play it, either pirate or get a used copy
