Graphics-wise? Right,easy.
Design-wise? Left, no contest. Galar is really just a bunch of straight lines tacked onto a Wild Area that is far, FAR too small. The DLCs handle the concept way better, and it really shows when you look at how flat the original Wild Area is.
Ideal would be left with right graphics and camera freedom.

The left one unironically has more incentive to return to than the Wild area. Once getting access to cut, new areas in the route open up. Once you have surf, you can travel southward.

The Wild area literally only has two islands you can’t reach until your bike is upgraded. Gen 3 art style also looks 20x more pleasing to look at.
