There's the dex entries mentioning that castform acts like water molecules for example. Some people even think that castfom is designed to looks like a water molecule. The boobs are supposed to be the two hydrogens, and the head is supposed to be the oxygen.
Regular = regular cloud, regular amount of vapor
Sun = clear sky. Little to no water vapor
Rain = rain cloud. Lots of liquid water
Hail = snow cloud. Frozen water vapor
Sandstorm doesn't really fit.
