Give it a better ability.
Steadfast is a bit redundant when it already has Inner Focus. And Inner Focus is pretty underwhelming outside of the Intimidate immunity. It's nice to have, but flinch hax sets aren't common enough to really justify it. Justified is only usable in doubles or if your opponent is an idiot.
So just replace Lucario's Steadfast with a really good ability like Adaptability or Sheer Force or some crazy shit.

Dunno about any of you, but I want each generation to have two-stage pokemon that follow the same steps as Arcanine and Volcarona, making them their introductory region’s honorary pseudo.

Somewhere between 550 and 555 bst. Lucario would be included in this hypothetical change, since it can hit hard, but its speed is too awkward to make up for its lacking defenses. I don’t think it needs a broken ability at all.

I'm getting a semi at the prospect of Mega Lucario becoming a regular, permanent evolution.
625 base stats, that's more than pseudo-legend territory, plus it's allowed held items if it's not a mega evolution anymore.

70 base stats equals 176 at level 100
Eviolite boosts 50% so it becomes 264, almost as much as a Pokemon with base 115 defenses (266 at level 100).
The speed is still a problem, but it's way more buff than regular lucario.

Top? Nah, it was good in Gen 4, but even back then 90 speed hurt it a lot. Not to mention Infernape did pretty much the same job but faster, minus E-Speed.

Yeah? It's not bad, but it's not great either, especially since Fairy still had 2 more Gens before it was made. Fire/Fight is the superior offensive typing, which was what both Luc and Infernape wanted to do.

It needs a better ability, something more reliable than Justified to boost its damage output so that it's at least a better wallbreaker.
Even Iron Fist would be useful since it boosts Meteor Mash and Bullet Punch.
