Love: Combines the ferocity of badgers with the power of volcanos. Uses the natural defenses of quilled mammals as the basis for its elemental weaponry. When upright, with its neck flame out, it invokes the imagery of an erupting volcano, The neck flame also works because that's where animals tend to attack while fighting. Even its main move Eruption fits it perfectly.
Hate: Pic Related. Eruption is the only thing it fucking gets. No other special moves except Focus Miss and Solar-Only Works in Sun-Beam, (fine you can add Extrasensory even though its synergy sucks). No Snarl, No Earth Power, No Boomburst, No Utility, Not even Bulk Up so it can attempt to use its physical move pool. Charizard gets 2 Megas, an entire 4-epsiode series dedicated to one of those Megas, a Giga, and an entire region riding its dick about how unbeatable is because it belongs to the UNDEFEATED CHAMPION. Meanwhile, Typhlosion and its Johtobros get the Axe. That's not even going into how Lame Freak fucked up Typhlosion's battle sprite by removing its flame, (which works well for Amie, but looks stupid as fuck in battle) so that it wouldn't outshine Shillzard.
It really says something that Smogon, which spends an entire page dedicated to shitting on Typhlosion, gave it more dignity by letting it have its flame in its battle sprite.
If it's any consolation, PoGo literally solves all the problems Lame Freak caused for Typhlosion. It's more or less equal to Charizard in PvP and which one is better is more situational. It's always moving in battle so it has no bad idle pose, and its flame comes out during all charge moves and certain fast moves like Incinerate. (A powerful fast move it recently got. Can you imagine Lame Freak giving Typhlosion ANYTHING?).
