Articles and wiki pages like Smogon talking about general Pokémon species with gendered pronouns (he/she). When you are talking about a species in general the correct grammar is to use neutral pronouns (it). For example you don't say:
>Pikachu is a crappy Pokémon, even if she holds a Light Ball she sucks.
Instead you are suppose to say:
>Pikachu is a crappy Pokémon, even if it holds a Light Ball it sucks.

Okay, but you at least have to try it in gendered species such as Gallade and Vespiquen. But also, this happens on /vp/ too, although the intention seems to be more sexual in nature, e.g. "why is she so perfect?"

yeah it's just retards begging for (you)s. Here's something that gets me the wrong way. When text in game is stylized in ALL CAPS like "You obtained a MAX REPEL" or "Did you see the VIRIDIAN CITY GYM LEADER?" I don't like how in games until XY if you didn't name a Pokemon it would be in all caps too.

No. It's proper grammar to use it or they. Gallade isn't a single character, it's a species of monsters so using "him" is not correct.

Also when /vp/ does it they're just baiting or talking about waifushit. I agree with OP that a proper article should maintain the use of it and they.

I feel like even with gendered species, using a gendered pronoun still seems weird since it sounds like you're referring to a singular Pokemon and not the species as a whole.

On the other hand, I kind of hate when a Trainer is speaking about their specific Pokemon and don't refer to it as she/he.

Masters actually seems to use gendered pronouns when Trainers refer to their Pokemon, which I appreciated a lot. Makes them seem more familiar with eachother, like they've been friends for a long time. Using "it" makes it sound like you caught the Pokemon an hour ago or see it as more of a creature than a partner. It can't just be me that thinks this, right?

In Platinum, some Pokemon that got "new" sprites were reused from DP. They're either flipped horizontally, or use the second animation frame as the first. Pic related is an example of the latter
They've made new sprites to fit in with the new battle UI that Platinum was going before, so it fucking hurts to see things like Croagunk's or Starly's sprites lazily flipped. But then again, I don't like some of the actual new sprites in Platinum because Pokemon make these weird mid-moving poses, so whatever

Unnecessarily pluralising the word Pokemon.
The correct plural of Pokemon is "Pokemon", not Pokemons, which is something even boomer comics can somehow get right so I don't understand how so many people fuck it up.
