Same, OP. I might pick up Gen 5 but Gen 4 was the peak of the metagame and the Gen 2 remakes are the peak games aesthetically.

I pirated BW, found it so boring I left Pokemon, only came back with SwSh and while I had fun I can see taking a break was good because the games are literally the same shit still.

I'm not the biggest fan of BW, but the first 20 minutes are actually pretty cool. The gift box from the professor and your pals meeting you at home was a nice change from the same old "meet the professor at his lab" thing.

Truly based. When B&W released I went into it with high expectations. After finishing the game I sold all my Pokémon collection and didn't care anymore about the franchise for 9+ years. What a shitty entry that was

Finally, another person who is old enough to remember the hype. Anyone who was surprised by Game Freak lying about their products in the last 3 generations could barely read when BW came out.
