Now we focus on the remaining Dual Normal types.
Gen 6 and 7 introduced a lot of Normal dual types, we can go over them one by one, but really the main reason they exist is that GF is running out of unique typings and they need to come up with concepts for the newer typings to give a "new" feel. So you can pretty much guess how the typings go:
- What could be a Normal/Electric type? Oh something that needs to charge up energy (so it can use Electric moves) but until then it's primarily a normal type. How would it charge electricity? Solar panels. Voilà how the concept makes the mon.
- What could be a Normal/Fighting type? A regular animal or object that happens to use the Fighting moves on a specific occasion. So to have a fighting giant plushie makes a perfect fit to this concept.
- What could be a Normal/Dragon type? Maybe an old Dragon so "weak" compared to classic Dragon that it resorts to using Normal moves.
Etc. etc.
Indeedee can be considered part of this idea with the "emotions" side to it, but really it's a mix of both that and the fact that they need to keep justifying Blissey staying Normal (I mean look at it, it's pretty much a Fairy concept wise, they just had to keep it this way).
Future Dual Normal types will follow the same pattern most likely, so we can look forward to Normal/Poisons which are "weaker" versions of otherwise very poisonous animals or toxic objects, Normal/Grasses which will be common objects or animals that have leaves or grassy parts attached to it, Normal/Steels that will be Steel animals or objects that have to somehow recharge or regain their metallic body parts, and so one and so forth.
