I really hope they do a Dragapult vs Garchomp dog fight. Watching Garchomp trying to out maneuvet Drag's heatseekers in the air would be visual kino. Finishing the battle with a shillmon Gmax clash would be cool too.

Probably wouldn't be a notable dent for Cynthia to lose on screen, frankly. She's not described as never having lost or being the best in any inflated terms, just some one who's powerful, so I can't imagine it'd be much of an upset if it happens.

She battled Caitlin to a standstill, and Caitlin is only an Elite 4 member. So who knows, maybe in the anime, she's weak as far as champs go.

that was just an exhibition match, and it never concluded. Caitlin is also her ~best friend
in D&P anime we saw her beat 2 or 3 of her own E4 on-screen (Aaron, Flint for sure and I think maybe Lucian too), and Tobias didnt get past her either

There's a chance of that, yeah. There's really nothing that implies otherwise. We also already know that Lance won in the Pokemon World Tournament in the anime as a prior achievement to his entry of the Coronation Series, so there's that to top it off alongside his being the world's second ranked. I think Lance also beat Kukui, so that'd mean he's somewhere below Leon and Lance. That might be all we have to go on where canonical rankings are concerned between them, so not much to get mad about in terms of Cynthia.
