Stop this meme. They went to shit because of new interns, an influx of classic artistic talent and trends.

If Tajiri was still around we would still have shit monster designs post-Gen 2-3. Perhaps greater concepts, yes, but still shit designs.

Imagine you had an idea for a game, felt inspired about it, and completed said idea. Then, you make a sequel and wrap up the loose ends of the idea you had in mind.

That's what he did, and that's good enough. Not everyone is interested in milking the same formula over and over. He made his specific vision, and then let someone else be in charge of the rest. I wouldn't be personally invested in rehashes either.

I always hated that in his Game Center CX interview he confused Unown V presenting it as Unown G (for Gamefreak) to the camera.
I realize it's an easy mistake because these Unowns are confusing but it's his own franchise, man. Sometimes I feel I care more about this than they do.
