Why doesn't rillaboom's design incorporate chest-beating? Dragging a drum around doesn't feel natural.

I don't mind Rillaboom's drum in theory but I hate the way it looks in execution. It's just a little too clean and neat looking. I don't really expect realism from Pokemon but in this specific case it's just off-putting and a more natural looking (still cartoony) tree trunk and drumstick would have been better.

I think the problem comes from Grookey and Thwackey having rough-looking twigs and sticks as their drumsticks. It makes going to a clean neat trunk drumset with regular drumsticks awkward.

That’s actually a good explanation as the drum does look too clean looking and while Rillaboom does carry the drum on its back and out of the three and Rillaboom is the one starter I dislike least out of the three, I feel that it would of been better if it incorporated the drum as part of its headband like grookey and thwacky using their sticks as a headpiece like this fan art showcased.
