Thanks, I feel even better now.
>So, Lucario is Steel, yet Registeel isn't?Deliberately twisting my words, I see. No, Lucario's metal likely isn't steel. Probably Oicalchum, a mythical metal. The point you deliberately missed is that both Lucario and Registeel are metallic in some way, but neither are steel, which you insisted all Steel-types were, before you changed your argument to make yourself right.
>I'm not stripping them of shitYou should never be able to catch starters in the wild. Strips them of their rarity and makes them less special. Gamefreak's done it before, and it sucked there too.
>The player could just get a better version of their main PokemonHeartless. And why force them to use an Ability Capsule if you could just give the starters their better abilities from the get-go? "The player can get a better one later" isn't an explanation, it's a dismissal.
>I'm not sure what your problem is?My problem is your refusal to acknowledge your own favouritism. Fire/Dragon isn't an OP type, but it screw over the other starters in a match up between them, because they have no good way to counter it. It's fine to change things to prevent stagnation, but you don't need to fix what isn't broken. If your reasoning for making Charizard Fire/Dragon but not giving Blastoise a way to counter that and preserve the type triangle was just "I won't, because I don't want to and this is my game," then you'd have my support. Power to you, it's your own work and you're not accountable to anyone. But instead you're trying to argue that your decisions are rooted in deep logic and that you're some kind of force for positive change. If you just got off your high Mudsdale and admitted it's your preference, we'd be done here.
