I thought 'what better return than a triumphant victory over the very trainer who wiped my last run?'
Distorshit world KYRVS was easily WIPED by my much superior team.
Leading with Juliet Golduck I destroyed HounDoom on the advice on the anon who advised me he did NOT start with WEvil as the rest of this battles had. Houndoom down I switched to Cassius Luxray to counter his Garydos. Little did I know it would use Earthquake. Lukily I survived and managed to down him with thunderFang. Atlas pulled off the switch on WEvil like the textbook play
However
The Crowbat gave me a bitch of trouble. Priam Rapidass was brought forth but did absolutely nothing and nearly died to toxic, so Juliet was brought back who could at least stand up to a couple poison crosses and bring down the bastard to the Red before needing a switch to Banquo. KYRVS heeled and we both merely confused one another. I being above in the Mons made the choice to pivot to Cassius who survived a Poison Cross to win by Thunder Fang. His last Mon, HonkRow was equally weak to Thunder Fang and Cassius managed to win the Duel for us.
I spent 3 days (72 howers) playing SLOW and focusing on the grind and in the end it payed off. I was able to only loose midimal Mons (Hindenburg a Driftblim died, as well as Phoebe Crowbat) Most of my team from the very beginning is still with me and my box is teaming with ripe replacements should something go wrong betweeen here and the league. As for the league itself I've heard it's very challenging so I will need to meditate on my box to find the proper teem to face them.

The fact that a z00mer like you is playing that way doesn't make any sense desu. You should literally just play FRLG on an emulator, it's a much better Kano experience. Or play gen2 if you want that classic pokemon experience. gen1 is literally broke, slow as fuck, AND fucks you with the bullshit item carry cap. Even the fucking PC is limited in space it fucking sucks.
I only play gen1 like once a year and it's strictly for nostalgia purposes
There's no shame in quitting while you're still ahead. Seriously gen3 is much better way to scratch the Kanto Itch

What are your favorite "unexpected strong pokemon? For gen 4 it was Floatzul big speedy hitter with nice defences. Never going to call it faggy looking again.
For emerald it was Beautifly surprisingly strong for the first 2 gyms and a useful support after.
For leaf green it was butterfree very surprising honestly. Early confusion is very useful for all the poison spam.

I also got trolled hard by a Lickitung in the part you get it in. Must have broke out of 10 balls before finally fleeing. At least I can encounter it later. I also lost Jigglypuff (not a big deal) and Smeargle (same again, but there's still the Ruins of Alph).

Smeargle, Lickitung, Miltank and Teddiursa are basically all my available catches remaining in Johto.

I knew it I was risking it, I knew it Lenora's Herdier very probably was packing a Bite and it had already used Leer in the previous turn. Funny thing is it didn't even used Bite, it just OHKO her with Take Down.
Also, Retaliate is such a bullshit movie. Same with all those Patrats and N's Timburr with Bide.
Oh well, Theodora the Pidove is back on the team and from now on I'll grind more before a gym.

While losing my starter in the final gauntlet hurt, Clam ended up being a total star, soloing Lance and most of the Champion battle. It was capable of taking on the two Gyarados that violated my Red run, so I'm happy of how it turned out. I chose a lvl. 58 level cap rather than the allowed 62, but I think the optimal might be 55, otherwise the game becomes a bit trivial. Any lower and your team is too slow, any higher and the fights become easy.

By the way, how do you all deal with deaths in Autism runs? Do you reset the deaths after you finish a generation, or do you keep them for the increased difficulty? I'm thinking of keeping them myself, but it might be hard to even get a 6 mon team in GSC since it's mostly the Kanto Dex. Unsure.

Thanks, so glad Lenora is done with. For some reason I thought Retaliate would deal double damage just once in a battle and then it would go back to have 70 bp... so my plan was to send my Connery to Intimidate it and tank the hit, then switch to Sulphur to finish it. Jeez I wasn't prepared for a 140 bp (+ stab!) almost every turn, it's really a small miracle that I didn't lose anyone else.
Nice for you to get your revenge on Lance's Gyarados after what they did!

I think I found an okay balance. Any team member who became a hall of famer, even if it fainted, is locked out of a future run. I think that should increase the difficulty a bit by decreasing the pool of mons I can catch, but not make it unbearable.

After having Whitney wipe me I decided to start yet another Platinum run. Finally getting a Budew as my route 204 encounter made Roark's gym even easier than usual. I've also gotten Chimchar as my starter for the last three times I've tried this, not that I'm complaining. I have some grinding to do before Valley Windworks, let's see how it goes.

AFter a sad loss of LittleFoot TerraTurtle I made the lazy decision to hot swap in Manny MamothSwine into Littlefoot's place and he more or less fits like a glove. Only really needed a solid Earthquake Mon to take this dude down.
I didn't expect a Jolteon out front but it made little difference as Manny shook the ground on which it walked.
Raichu's Focus Blast made my palms rather sweaty
but luckily manny survived once more
and one shotted the rat down into Hell
Electivire forced me to switch
to Banquo who I trusted to confuse

electric punch of death I left him in
and tried to work up to my Last Resort
unfortutley they held sitrus berry
and I was forced to switch out for Atlas (Machamp)
Dynamic Punch uterellyfucked him up
and my 50 Luxray beat 48
So yeh Looking forward to the Barry Fight I'm keeping the teem the same DESPITE the box TEEMING with Based Mons such as Togetic, Garydos, or Sneasel. These guys prove to me time and time again to be a solid teem and idk MAYBE I switch Juliet Golduck out for Garydos and Priam out for a better type or something but I must admit I've had Juliet around from the beginning and she proves over and over again to be a GR8 part of the teem.

Diamond run update! Man, DP's Gym layout is weird. I've been spoiled from Platinum. Skipping Fantina, and Maylene and Wake being equal-leveled is just bizarre. Anyway, signing in from post-Maylene. Lost Gerard the Staravia to Lucario when I tried a risky 2x Double Team Endeavor at low health. A shame, but not the greatest loss- I was already training up his replacement, the unstoppable Abigail the Murkrow.

Team is looking awfully vulnerable to Flying and Electric types right now... this is when I would look longingly toward the next route for a Rhyhorn. Fucking DP. Maybe I'll try to scooper a Wooper in the Great Marsh or the route west of Pastoria. Doubles me up on Water types, but also solves the eternal 2-4th gen problem of "WHY IN THE NIGGERING FUCK ARE THERE SO MANY WATER HMS" I would otherwise be encumbered with.

moving pretty slowly through this, slower than i expected in all honesty
anyway winona is down, had to use kind of a risky strat. meant for lightwave to just blast through the team with spark, having germano + irrlicht deal with tropius, but the plan for altaria was really just red krayola facetanking eq/aerial ace and spamming rock tomb while hoping not to get fucked too badly by dragonbreath. thankfully it all worked perfectly fine, but a crit or two could have easily fucked up everything. that flannery battle has made me very paranoid

yeah, johto's gyms make level caps wonky. i've found this route to work well and allow me to stay under the level cap and not have to do crazy amounts of grinding:

this route probably works well for hgss although i've never tried it in gen 4. only difference is pryce's ace is 32 instead of 31

XY has some surprisingly difficult battles out of nowhere, plus if you turn off the exp. share it feels like your team is always underleveled. There's just not enough battles in modern games to level your team without grinding (if you turn the exp. share off).

So after a few days break, I'm continuing my Platinum run from where I left off.
Just beat Candice, which was a close call because I totally forgot about that Froslass she has in Platinum. Emm was able to take it out after it nearly killed Lin. The thing got a ton of double teams off and Lin just kept missing. I'm surprised Emm was able to land two consecutive hits with surf and killed it, despite how much evasion the thing had by then.

Whelp Leaf did literally nothing, dying on its first real battle against Will's Slowbro. While this battle wasn't terribly difficult, I realized too late that I had no super-effective moves vs. Psychic types. Fortunately my team managed to take them on pretty well.

Koga was a pushover, Cavalier set-up Swords Dance on his Ariados, and then one-shot every member of his team.

Bruno wasn't the worst, but a missed attack forced me to throw Zeke into the right, who then missed a move and got killed by his Machamp.

Karen was just an average battle, just throwing STAB moves at her until her team died.

Lance kept spamming Thunder Wave and Hyper Beam, and despite their tankiness, both Cutter and Lengua met their death. Balls managed to take down Charizard, Aerodactyl, and nearly took down his last Dragonite, with Cavalier ending the battle.

I don't even know who the MVP was this run, both Balls and Cavalier excelled and went way over my expectations for them (who I initially thought as box fodder). I'm glad they both made it through.

I didn't mean to get some many levels, I only grinded right after the 2nd gym to get newcomer Door-kun and the others at the same level (aside from my starter - I like to have them a couple lvs higher than the rest). Got a lot of levels in the forest, battling everything and finding the hidden items, plus that building in Castelia full of trainers which I forgot it existed.
Then again I don't have a rule against intentional overlevelling so I don't feel too bad about it.

How do you approach doing a Nuzlocke of a difficult game. Do you have to research the party composition and movesets of every trainer and the gym leaders prior to actually battling them in order to make sure you're ready? And is it just a matter of grinding to make sure you're overleveled for every battle?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Nuzlocke habits honestly just come from practice. You get a feel for where the stumbling points are and when you should be careful and switch out. There are Mon-killers sprinkled throughout each game that you'd never honestly expect from a vanilla playthrough. All that research is largely unnecessary. About all I tend to look up are boss level caps so I know what to deal with going in.

Just pick a game you like and give it a try!

Hard nuzlockes are primarily about risk management. Knowing when to take risks and realizing a crit or hax might kill you if you stay in, what strategies result in the cleanest victories, etc. Sometimes you just get the perfect mons, many times you don't.
Personally I only look up boss movesets, but not random trainers', and I don't overlevel, as that just trivializes any challenge. Not using items and playing on set also makes room for error very small and forces you to play smart.
I'd suggest starting with an easy game, like FRLG or XY, or start with games you know the best to know where the nasty spots are (i.e. the Ace trainers outside Veilstone in Platinum, the Thunder Manectric right before Lilycove in Emerald), and working your way up.

There's no trick, especially considering most nuzlockes aim to cripple you as much as possible. Nah, I will usually just use a reference picture of the official artwork or anime screenshots to make sure I'm not forgetting any random details that can't be seen from the front for the first time a pokemon appears, then after I've drawn it I'll just use the first drawing as a reference until I internalize it enough to keep it consistent. a lot of "being good" at pokemon games from playing a lot imo. knowing type matchups and good team building is obviously very important, but the best strats come from knowledge of the game ie knowing what gym leaders are packing and where good encounters are. obviously you can wiki that stuff but just knowing the games helps a ton.
nuzlockes take time to good at, my first emerald run was close to the 20s in deaths.
if a nuzlocke sounds fun to you i'd say try it out. even if you get brutalized it can still be a fun experience. also ignore the assholes in the threads, ask questions and you'll get good responses.

He predictably sent out StarRaptor who I Thunder Fanged to oblivion.
Next was a surprise SnorHax who I panicked and sent in Icarus Togekiss when Atlas Machamp was the right call. Thankfully Icarus was able to AeroBlast SnorHaxx to death. With Floatzel sent out I took the oportunity to set up a wish and switch for Cassius who promptly healed to full and took down the Buizel. next up ws Chucks most feard Heracross. I had forgotten that Icarus was my ONLY real solution to this asshole and I had wasted him early on a Surprise SnorHaxx. I sent out Juliet, my WildCard Babe who somehow someway SURVIVED double hit Close Combats left at 6 hp when I had commited to her sacrifice. Juliet IS going to the Leeg! I love her so much (I even caught her in a heal ball cuz that was the LAST PokeBall I had back in the OverBurg Gate whence I caught her from. I had forgot he wielded a Roserade as well, and feeling trapped switched to my OTHER WildCard Banquo Umbreon who successfully pulled off a confuse ray bite AND Faint attack sucessfully setting up Last Resort
HOWEVER
He was poisoned as well, and a switch was needed to vanquich Monfernape
I made a stupid mistake by switching in for Manny MamothSwine who died to a focus blast BUT the good news is this is the Universe telling me that Juno Garchamp IS going to be on the teem (assuming I can get her to survive the training up 18 levels in Victree Road)
SO, that's cool I'm using my old buddy Garchomp (a femoid Garchomp as well) but kinda lame cuz I gave Manny Ice Beam...which Juliet could really use...oh well.

Watson was EZPZ this time thanks to Sappie only used them the entire time. He healed Manetric 4 times or something like that. Got me down to low yellow health. I imagine Maxie and Flannery will be easy as well.

tate and liza themselves went well, this time i had a real plan for them. led with corgan to fuck up claydol and had new member ignota the wailord out to bait solrock, but they went lunatone. but this was no problem - i had two dark types in the back, the lunatone and xatu only have psychic offensive moves. i beat up xatu and lunatone as they set up sun, so i swapped around to avoid solrock from killing anything, but i unfoooortunately didn't really notice the xatu roiding up with calm mind while crawdaunt and sableye were out, so it one shot ignota. rip buddy. only casualty, but very avoidable, the worst kind.
noticing the hack is giving much better pokemon now that i'm near the end of the game. i can't evolve the seadra or the haunter, by the way, it's straight up not intended by the hack

In the interim I feel like a sandwich SO I'll be heading down to SUBWAY for 12 or 24 inches of SUB then when I return I'll be choosing an ACE to level up to 62
I've decided that an ACE rule should be made where in I have an Pokemon at Level with the Champion's ACE
However
I am NOT allowed to LEAD with mine Ace and have to swap them out during the fight. I think that could be fun. Leave the teem at 60 but have an Ace at 62 I can't leed with. I'm of course leaning towards Icarus as my ACE however I will think on it as I walk AND I am of course open to suggestions.
Banquo ~feels~ like the mascot so he SHOULD be the ACE I feel like...but Icarus is probably the MVP...but then again Juno is muh sudowoodo legendary and all so...idk

I beat Flannery pretty easy only used Sappie again. I went in at level 27. Maxie actually gave me a tougher fight Mightyena took Burder Loom and Poppy to low yellow health. I eventually beat it with Sappie. Then beat Zubat with Poppy and Camerupt with Sappie again.
This is what I will use for Norman thought of leveling up Hands for it, but that sounds like a lot of effort. Grinding right now is a pain no rematches and the wild mons know annoying moves. I cought Trapinch which is cool.

I think Mudkip is definitely the best starter Torchic is the most useful fire mon in Hoenn though I think. Though there is just too many water trainers for it to matter.

was actually very simple - i came in with a burned raticate, plusle backed up with rain dance and thunder, mantine with rest and toxic built to pp stall the kingdra if nothing else, but all i needed was pere ubu the togetic yawning, then swapping to irrlicht to set up 3 calm minds, killing the lead luvdisc, then setting up another 3 on crawdaunt and killing that with hidden power (water) before running down the rest of the team. initially had some elaborate setup to encore the luvdisc into sweet kissing so i could set up, but not necessary.

not quite sure what i'll take to the league - probably some mix of raticate/swellow, electrode, grumpig, and some method to take down drake. we'll see

Alright, just beat Volkner.
Probably the roughest fight for me thus far. Thorn and Emm helped blow through most of the gym with little issue, but Thorn was having issues during the fight with Volkner, Lin actually killed his Electivire and Raichu.
Going to go back and get the Ice Beam TM and teach it to one of the team so I have a bit more coverage, then on my way to the Elite Four and Cynthia.

alright, final team done! irrlicht is the cm setup sweeper, rat is the hardest hitter, beefheart is there to take care of glacia and sidney and maybe contribute a bit to the final battles, velvet is just the superfast sweeper in case i need it and also to smack around some of wallace's mons if need be, pyrrhon is stallshit incarnate, and pere ubu is the support backbone of the team. all that's left is to burn rat off a shuppet or something and to buy the full restores necessary, and i'm ready.
might challenge the e4 tonight or tomorrow, not really sure.

Well anons, I did it. I beat the game. Cynthia was the toughest fight in the entire game for me, and the sacrifice was either between Yona or Thorn, so I went with Yona, hoping she could land a crit fly on the Lucario because she had a Razor Claw on her, but no luck obviously.
I like to headcanon Yona and Lin were good friends, because I would swap between them a lot for intimidate spamming. They're the reason I was able to kill Cynthia's Garchomp without issue, giving Emm enough leeway to not die from Earthquake and one shot it with Ice Beam.
Lin was able to take out Spiritomb, Togekiss, and Milotic. I let Mana have the final fuck you against the Roserade which Cynthia left for the end, powering up with Calm Mind just to be extra safe.
Really quite sad at the death of Yona at the end, but at least we made it through and she won't be forgotten.

she was the hardest member, probably because rat isn't super reliable. even with fucking cleanse tag guts max attack EVs, shadow ball failed to put down the lead dusclops (i also focus energy'd and failed to crit) while it cursed. that + burn damage made me swap after killing the next banette, and from there it was basically up to pyrrhon and velvet to try and not die. irrlicht failed to kill the final dusclops and paid for it with his life, but was thankfully the only casualty.

also pretty stressful, as irrlicht sweeping was my plan. tried leading with beefheart for a bulk up strat and correctly predicted shelgon wasted the first turn protecting. beefheart then proceeded to beat the absolute fuck out of drake's team with cross chop and low kick (somehow even outspeeding drake's +1 dd altaria kek). swapped to pyrrhon on the salamence, but it then proceeded to flinch me with rock slide, great, so i had to sack pyrrhon and killed back with velvet.

other than glacia the most simple fight, oddly. pere ubu lead to screw over the wailord, velvet came in and wiped out half the team, corgan took over and killed the other half once whiscash came out. didn't really expect rat to oneshot a fucking level 58 milotic but then again STAB silk scarf guts facade is probably the equivalent of a thermonuclear bomb.

Icarus Togetic is officially mine ACE and the grind is complete. I will now face the leeg. I have NO fucking idea what they're gonna bring to be honest so I'm just gonna lead with Juno Garchomp out the gate unless I recognize Flint. THAT Was as close a fucking battle as any could ever be It LITERALLY came down to one V one Garchamp vs Roseraid after all my other Mons had fallen valiently in battle I led with Banquo Umbreon as I felt he was a solid all arounder who could tank anything KYNTHIA might send out, I was shocked but not surprised to come face to face with SpiriTomb. After a nasty back and forth Banquo was made to switch out for Cassius Luxray who fell to a critical DarkPulse Juno GarChamp Queen of the Run, was brought out to subdue this great terror and with DragonClaw she quickly exorcised this demon. KYNTHIA responded with her own GarChamp Juno made easy work of her evading her DragonRush and pummeling KYNTHIA with two of her own. Milotic scared me Cassius had already fallen and I switched for my ACE Icarus Togekiss but was nearly defeated by Ice Beam Luckily Ice Slash hit a crit, until, MIRRORCOAT hit with great fury and destroyed Icarus, he who flew too hot and held so much pride, DIED at the feet of KYTHHIA and her wicked worm of the waves. Juno was our only hope and with a quick DragonRush we were back in the fight. KYNTHIA had her own Togekiss which evaded our DragonRush but could not hold up against the wrath of Juno
Lucario could not even stand to face Juno in her wrath as she made the earth break beneath his feet
she fled however at the appearance of Roseraid I feared grass would be super on ground and switched for Atlas Machamp who made his first and only appearance in the Leeg by dying, then Banquo was sacrificed, and it all came down to DragonRush Juno who got the speedy hit for the win

I HAVE applied a lower level cap to Red 75 flat with an 81 ACE which I beleive is his teem in Crystal +/=

My move is typically to go there on the BugCatching days and try for HeroCross or Scyther...Today is Tuesday tho I don't remember what days are gucci over there but maybe today maybe tomorrow idk if it happens it happnes BUT either way NOTHING is gurranteed, dupes clause without a 3 strike policy is cringe, otherwise you can exploit it. Making it so that "Oops looks like pidgey and wurmple appeared 3 times in a row, guess I missed my catch for this area" makes it more fun and more challenging.
Like I already stated, if you just get to keep trying over and over again then you could, in theory, guarrantee a Feebas in Platinum or Emerald for example if you use the Old Rod and already cathc a Garydos. Having the 3 strike rule means you HAVE to get exceedingly lucky to EARN an exceedingly Powerful PokeMon suchas Feebas Milotic

nah, you skip route 46 and get the guaranteed rattata in bellsprout tower during the day and rock smash for guaranteed geodude in the ruins of alph. go back to 46 and you get spearow. you skip route 33 until you get headbutt. now you headbutt the correct trees in 33 and azalea town, get an aipom and heracross.

doesnt matter with your 3 stike thing though it does improve your chances a lot but this could be useful for someone else.

the triple battle was terrifying but i managed it without any losses. The steel guy rotation battle was super easy also Drasna is a joke with two fairy types on the team(Mismagius is /farity on this) and a mega Aggron.
Malva was hard since it was a double battle and she has a Heatran but Poison Heal Goodra is just too god (yes it has poison heal on this hack also Recover).
Diantha could be really hard but Blaziken kept setting up instead of going for an attack so it was easy enough to Suicune take care of it.
Mega Aggron is a beast tho, it survived a point blank Focus Blast from Mega Gardevoir to take it down with Heavy Slam.
Anyway, hacked gen 6 is done, now I want to go back to gen 1 and do a romhack run on this Full Series nuzlocke, any sugestions? (no blue kaizo tho, im not a masochist)

Fuck me Norman is always such a pain in the dick to fight. After the losses to the one hit KO room I leveled Hands and Kotty. Just barely beat him.
Poppy was MVP killed Spinda and Linoone then hurt Slakking a lot. I tried to beat Slaking with Casket using protect, flash, and psybeam. Did not work. He ended up one shotting him. I paralyzed him with Poppy which is risky but it paid off. Poppy made him heal then he eventually killed him. Moorupt finished the job with many magnitudes 7 in fact.
Hands and Kotty were pretty useless. I'm very sad I lost Poppy he was definitely a positive surprise.

highs and lows today. some excellent catchs in Spoon Mode and Sorsha to fill out the team after getting whacked by bugsy, only to have the most scuffed fight against whitney. missing a fury cutter on miltank ruined the strat, getting luck sacked by the quick claw so that Swoop Dog's dig DIDN'T make rollout miss, and a crit stomp flattening Radish made for incredibly bad luck.

Whitney's Clefairy having Metronome, and the fat cow. Then there's the Mean Look on Morty's mons which lock you into the fights. Chuck has Rock moves so if you go in with birds he'll probably kill you, and Clair is just BS without Ice moves. I know the other four are mediocre, but even Falkner can be problematic if you stick to the level 9 cap and don't have Geodude.

I won. It was easy. Had a nice counter to everyone more or less. Shiftry got one shot by Milotic's ice beam somehow. I set up sunny day with whiscash for solarbeam spam but I only got one off. Other than Whiscash Manetric beat everyone with thunderbolt. Walrein beat most of Drake's mons. I used my Flygon to beat his Flygon since Walrein's health was low. Flygon had a scare against one of Phoebe's Dusklops didn't know it had ice beam. took him to 6 health. beat the rest of her team with surf/ice beam spam. Sydney is a non issue. i used Manetric and Camerupt for Glacia's mons.
All in all disappointing. Thought it would be more challenging like Platinum. I was pretty careless with fast forward and it didn't matter too much. Even used it for the Elite 4 not even sure if Milotic's ice beam crit Shiftry or not because of it.

I went in at 55. Moves were very similar to the other update. God the dragon claw tm for flygon removed rock smash for eruption on camerupt. Removed dive and body slam for hail and blizzard. Which didn't work how i thought it did. Thought it made blizzard a guaranteed hit. I also replaced dynamic punch for brick break.

So I almost Cucked myself SUPER badly. Literally the whole reason I picked Snivy as my starter was to get Leaf Storm / Draco Meteor for Drayden.
The problem is that Dray doesn't teach you DM till after you beat him and Serperior doesn't learn Leaf Storm till lvl 66. while the cap for Dray is 60. The only work around was to delay Servine's evo for 20 levels till it learned Leaf Storm at 56.
And I got distracted and almost didn't cancel it's evo until the VERY last second. I literally saw the colored Serperior sprite appear as I hit cancel. Anyway, it's been a while since I posted, so I'll give a status update after it evolves I guess.

Anyway, this is only the second time I've gotten past Colress and this run is probably cleaner than the first. I got Weedle which is like 1 of 4 Pokemon that can sweep Cheren. Beedrill and Quilava dealt with Roxie.
Quilava died to Burgh. I might've been able to keep it alive but I misplayed and it paid the priced.
Reat / Talk Snorlax pretty much swept Elesa.
Krookodile died to Rood's Bouffalant cause head smash crit as I switched in for Intimidate. Still kinda mad about that one.
For Clay Swampurt couldn't OHKO Excadrill as it set up sworda dance. It would die to Cacturne's sucker punch, but it was already weak, so I sacked Jumpluff.
Mightyena just died at Skyla. Turn 1 was pretty fucking awful. I tried to have Mightyena for Intimidate / Snarl support, which savedSnorlax's life cause it took a Braviary crit and Togekiss Aura Sphere which must have left it with single digit hp. I was able to rebound but between one Mandibuzz brave bird and Swanna hurricane, Mightyena died.
I'm kinda glad I put so much autism into Serperior cause the last time I fought Drayden I had no good dragon counters and outside of Serperior, I still don't have any.

Not much of an update, but finally the team is full. About to head to the desert ruins now.
It's been so many years since I first played B/W and now I really realize how fucked up its level curve is, I struggled so much until the 2nd gym but now I feel that exp is raining down on me from left and right. Pretty annoying, but I heard there will be a difficulty spike in the late game so I better not let my guard down.

The triple gang bang is on route 34 and you can access it once you get surf. You come to a spot where you are seen by 3 campers and they fight you in succession. You cannot fight them any other way

Nuzlockes are fun, I recommend going for the game that you know the best and trying it on that game. The OP has a difficulty tier list if you're wanting to avoid a really, really hard game for the first run. Basically don't do these first:
ultra sm, platinum, bw2 challenge
and you'll be ok.
Gen 3 games are a good starting point I think, but do what you know.
The most important part of a nuzlocke is knowledge of the game you're playing, that can carry you far.

Shiftry wasn't too helpful in the E4, but he did help a lot before that and was need for Whiscash I think. Not sure if earthquake would one shot him but giga drain worked.

Mine had Early Bird still nice eonough. felt the need to use him since it's a pretty rare first encounter like 1%. I din't know you could catch him later in game. Always thought Seedot was limited in the first routes of the game. I also missed out on Sunny Day even though I evolved him at like 35 or 40. Around psychic gym. I had to use the TM for it.
