spot the line in my message where i say i hate the series? i'm probably the biggest consoomer of all, i bought swsh 4 times when they went up for pre-order and 4 more times after they came out. i just think it's a lot more fun to speculate than it is to say "this objectively flawed game is better than this objectively flawed game!!!" ad infinitum

Here's honestly what I think:

I think the game will have some rideable/follow Pokemon, but it will be limited to only a few, namely the starters and some of the more popular Gen 4 mons like Lucario, Abomasnow, and Buizel (as well as all of the ones that were able to follow you in Let's Go)

The distortion world will make a comeback but it'll be used as a way for Max Raid battles to return, not explorable until the final battle with Giratina in which it will be a lot more limited than the original version.

There will probably be a battle frontier given how bad the response to ORAS was in that regard, but it won't be as expansive as it used to be. Mostly a half measure to please the fans.

There won't be DLC but a free Arceus update will happen a month or two after release to add a 2-ish hour story to the game similar to the Delta episode.

Visuals similar to SwSh but with the original grid-based environments of the DS releases.

The safari zone will be a shrunken version of the wild area.

The underground will be turned into battle mode similar to the one added with the Crown Tundra DLC, if not copy-pasted.

Judging by what we know there are 3 possibilities, none of which are LGDP in 2021

>1. Gamefreak does not currently want to continue Let's Go, just basic remakes, DP would be next in line
>2. Gamefreak does want to continue Let's Go as a sub-series in the mainline games. Johto would logically be next as a sequel to LGPE
>3. (Unlikely) Gamefreak doesn't want to make remakes on the anniversary, Gen 9 is next.

No matter which one they plan, making LGDP now would cost them money.
