They weren't perfect, but they were fun, perfevtly average pokemon games. Even after the cut they have more pokemon than half of the older games, and much more improved gameplay.

If the DLC had been part of the base game they would have been serviceable. Still not great, but at least they would have things to do.

I honestly can't pretend like they're good. There's just no standard by which this title competes successfully with most modern games, or even the Pokemon games that came before it in most respects. This was a letdown.
