This is truly the golden age of Pokémon. The fact that this series never had a real boom in popularity but instead it developed a solid and healthy fanbase game after game, was really beneficial to GF creativity and the overall games quality

HGSS are the absolute worst games, on the other hand at least their movies have gotten better. The first 3 were awful.

I can't believe they managed to add every pokemon into sword and shield, each with its own unique animation for using, dodging or taking a hit from each move, I think I've even seen any of the resting animations loop yet. All the new pokemon are great too, I heard they hired renowned artists from all over Europe just to design them. All that and they still somehow got away with selling the game for only $20.

To no one's surprise, Simisear won the popular vote yet again and will be getting another in-game event. It easily deserves the recognition, but I don't like how it gets pandered all the time. We already have Leon and his powerful Simisear to deal with.

I bought both sword and shield and fully enjoyed them. The graphics are great, the new mons are the best they ever have been, and it's about time they removed some of those old ones. I hope Gen 9 is at least half as good as 8.

Man, this is seriously the BEST place to discuss pokemon related topics on the whole internet, such a mature community, and the biggest one of the internet, im so glad our userbase is so big we actually have a saying on what gamefreak does, other fan bases envy /vp/ and i can see why.

I can't believe they won't fucking put Charizard in a new game. It was in Gen 1 and has never appeared in a game since. I understand it was the least popular starter, but still, SOME OF US have nostalgia for it, and it would be cool to see it again.

I'm glad Pokemon Typing Adventure was such a huge success. I frequent /ptakm/ for all the hardware mods they post. I can't believe some people got temp banned online for cheating with custom ascii inputs, but at least online is free and the lastest game provided another ranger-like experience to get Zarude and transfer to home and then to the lastest mainline games. I'm glad we don't have to pay for pokemon backups either and still hate that people have been paying for Bank since launch.
