i'm still curious over why the starters never got megas, yet the Alolan trio get their own Z-Moves, and Galar Trio get their own Gigantamax forms.
Ash-Greninja is stupid, i hope Serena-Braxien doesn't happen either.

In canon it was just "that mysterious greninja from the mural" until Bonnie thought, "kinda looks like ash. Ash-Greninja!" and it just kind of stuck. Of course then theres the "bond-phenomenon" bullshit, as nothing else got it.

megas were new forms for old mons, and they didn't want the kalos starters to feel incomplete. seems like they learned their lesson though and have been including the new starters in the regional gimmicks since kalos starters not getting megas was unpopular.

this is also the reason why so many fan made battle bond forms have pokemon mimic clothes simply because both Ash and Greninja have almost the same symbol on their chest, but in reality it shouldn't have anything to do with it.
