Put the original E4 back
Remove the OCs or at the very least give them normal NPC sprites using Pokemon that aren't nicknamed and/or shiny.
Scale wild Pokemon levels.

just started playing this and had no idea about the OC's thats probably the biggest problem with this. That and uhhh transferring pokemon up is a pain in the ass. I'd want to move my pokemon from this to emerald to do battle frontier but shit dont work.

Scaling wild pokemon is also a good idea, I started in Mahogany town and what a horrible idea, literally just had to grind trainers and run from fights

Get rid of everything that is unnecessary to the selling point of the game. Maybe add sidequests? It can get a little boring just going from gym to gym.
