>>46172119This is the winner. Gen 5 was good but it still lacked many features that HGSS had that prevented it from being perfect. It also removed contests and secret bases as a mainstay-- despite this, BW and BW2 added a bunch of other features that are natural additions and should have been mainstays too.
Same with Gen 6, it removed some things from Gen 5 but added a bunch of things that should have stuck.
Gen 7 was the first to not only remove all of the shit from the gen before it, but remove mainstay features like the National Dex and optional routes too. I find it hard to believe anyone that criticizes SWSH actually likes Alola because they're built almost identically like Kalos and Unova were.
