Ice now resists at least 2 of the following (Water, Ground, Fairy)
More Ice types get access to Water moves

just give em better stats
of if you really want ice to be slow and bulky, like gf does for some reasons, give hail the same buff sandstorm gives to rock types and remove aurora veil because it's a dumb move anyway.

expanding upon this
I like the idea of ice becoming a gimmick type
where specific moves have op effects such as freeze dry but for other types
It would probably fit normal types better but ice need it more.

Fires and Steal may only have three weakness but their weaknesses are too common for them to gain another. I like the idea of a specific ice move being able to hit those two super effectively.

Because Fairies are nature-based and too cold weather keeps them away.

The real reason is, to make Fairy less busted.

Fire resists Fairy so Ice sort of makes sense due to being another extreme in temperature. It also plays it Fairies being weak to "cold" iron (which would technically make more sense as Fairy being weak to Ice, but Ice needs to be improved defensively rather than offensively)

So to wrap the good ideas

Also I'd nerf freeze to spread it more with moves like an icy will-o-wisp and make it more common, like limiting it to a certain amount of turns

Make it resist water, ground, and electric. These all make thematic sense and would also buff it greatly as a defensive type (as opposed to resisting bug which is like having no resistances at all).
