Social media created a really bad wave, which is that your voice matters more in certain issues if you have suffered in your life.
That makes sense in certain topics in which we are talking about that specific people's issues, if your house burnt down and someone is talking about people who'se houses burnt down, your opinion, as someone who went through it, is worth listening to, to give a pretty easy example.
However, this creates an issue, and is that now people want desperately to have shitty lives in order to feel like they're "In with the cool kids", the amount of white people who say they wish they were (insert racial minority) and experience what they experience should show you that, they want to be on hard mode in order to get validation.
I don't know OP, but this rings the same bell, yes, kids should not be looking at porn, and it was a shame that it happened, but acting like it's the artists fault shows an entitlement that proofs that it was probably not that big of a deal to you, and you just want an excuse to be praised and to shame others for something that is outside their power.
Reminds me of how, in order to avoid accidentally putting porn of Steven Universe in search engines, the whole fandom made an alternative tag, specifically made to avoid this exact issue, and people still actively looked for it and then complained about it.
