When they combined them with the Pokemart. Well honestly, it wasn't that bad in Gen 5 since we still had a 2 story Pokemon Center that felt really big and impressive, but everything since that has felt really cramped.

As of yet, never. I like how Pokemon Centers look different in every region. My favorite is the Unova one, it's oddly satisfying to walk through their doors and see them open from the middle.

Personally, I think they only really lost their soul completely when you started having to press A to enter buildings, but the first sign of death was when they removed the sign that you could read on the front of the building. FR/LG was absolutely peak PokéCenter design.

I always found them cold and soulless like hospitals. Hated the place, hated the music.
XY centers were an improvement, and SM were the first ones to have comfy centers. Didn't play switch games so idk.

I was never one to really care about the Pokemon Center designs, but the SwSh one is such a huge downgrade from SM. I wish they would start making them more like Inns like how they are treated in the anime.
