>>46205423I studied the principles of logo design and why it's important, but I've never done anything for payment, I'm not that confident in those skills and wouldn't define myself as a professional.
That said, I think that applying the basic rules from the manual would solve most of this design's problems, heck, come to think of it simply using pikachu's head or its silouhette would work well as a stand-alone logo without the need of the word "Pokémon". Ideally, even an illiterate should look at that logo and say "That's pokémon", in similar fashion to Apple's or Nike's. I would also argue that other brands don't need that, Coca-Cola and Disney are complex and not wonderful in readability but are still probably the two most recognizable wordmarks on the entire planet. In defence of my proposal though, those aged far better.
The company would still need a wordmark for the game titles, as well as movies and other stuff. It goes without saying that it has to be custom made, not a consistent font, not even google has a consistent font in its logo, it can be subtle like incorporate a Pokéball design and/or Pikachu elements. I'd eliminate the "Embossed" look and make it so that it can work with multiple colors and even patterns, Ideally it could be made so that an element of most Pokémon (at least the first 151) could be implemented in the design.
