After that it’s a mixed bag; some highs, but perhaps too many lows.
Kalos is a really pretty region, but there’s not much to do unless you’re really into the collecting aspect of the games.
By the way, if you can, get Y instead. All Pokémon stories are dumb, but the plot of Gen VI only works with Yveltal. Shoehorning Xerneas seems like an afterthought made solely for want of a paired version, and makes the villain’s plan nonsensical.
