Fairy made MUCH less sense, yet here it is. Many mons and moves got retyped. Can you show me a pokemon that is "pure fairy". Pokemon being ablaze doesnt make them equal to a literally ball of fire. No pokemon is a literal water droplet.
Can you show me a pokemon that is "pure flying"? As in, an animate cloud or just a gust of wind with eyes? tornadus isnt even just a tornado, he's a genie who controles them.
Its vary rare for pokemon to be a "pure" embodiment of their type and nothing else. Geodude is just a rock, and regice is just a block of ice. But what about dragon? What about psychic? Psycic powers are "just waves" where's the pokemon who is pure psychic and not just invisible?

Chatot flying and sound, there's a million normal-flying mons out there. noivern cold be dragon and sound, since there's a million dragon-flying mons. Theres many, many more options too.
