I used one as my starter in Platinum a few times. Its type changing and movepool meant that it could counter near everything.

Double STAB and team support doesn't sound like shit to me desu. It's not as versatile as Protean but Castform is too slow to do that anyway.

I have at least once since I do like castform and his gimmick. Believe it was in PokeMMO with my team of shitmons.
If the games adopted the doubles format then he'd probably be more popular, it's just a bit of a pain that you HAVE to spend at least one turn setting up weather for him.

Yes i tried to use it in Emerald when i was younger, i didn't know much about Pokemon so i thought Castform was cool because of his ability to change form with the weather.
