Cinderace has a face that's really similar to Nu-gimori's current depictions of humans, the body is far more flexible and soft looking and rabbits playing with manufactured products isn't really something that's going to evolve on a widespread scale
that being said I agree Blaziken pushes it a fair bit but it still maintains that cool factor and enough elements of an actual chicken to go "aw yeah this rooster looks SICK"
also one last thing - I think it also doesn't help that the starters around it are also based on human activities, so it looks like more of a trend than a one-off thing. contrast that with the other Hoenn starters where Swampert is still a vague axolotl on roids and Sceptile is a gecko with a plant for a tail.
