>>46230087When you're isolated it feels like everyone's bullying you because you can't see from their perspective but try to remember that no one wants to be sad, angry or upset. If they're acting that way they're probably doing it for a reason they can't understand or articulate at that moment.
I don't think anyone on /vp/ hates pokemon and I don't think anyone wants to see it fail but what's driving pokemon doesn't feel like what people were picturing gen 8 would look like because Pokemon inspired so many people but what's driving Pokemon right now are just random ideas that are held back by tradition that don't come from a place of genuine inspiration.
Like did anyone picture the opening cinematic for a switch pokemon game to not even have a voiced cutscene or any voice acting?
How much did Dynamax REALLY change things up?
How many people thought Pokemonamie would be a franchise staple moving forward?
How many people thought mega evolution/z-crystals would at least stay in the single player parts of the games as collectables?
How many people thought there'd be a dex cut?
How many people thought Exp All would be mandatory?
How many people thought they'd expand on rideable pokemon?
The people that thought all this stuff would go away, not matter or never happen would inherently have to have some REALLY low expectations and I don't think it's fair to say they shouldn't be disappoint or that they shouldn't be upset that the gen 8 didn't really do anything..
