I got back into collecting about six years ago, bought up a lot of what I wanted, but left a lot on the table because it was so expensive. Gradually built up more of a collection, but still put off buying those very expensive cards.
Now those very expensive cards are bafflingly expensive cards, and I'm kicking myself for not buying them all up when they were sub $250. Still glad I managed to get dozens of 1st ed cards, a handful of neo shining cards, some rare japanese promos, etc. when I did. But I absolutely regret not buying, like, all of every set from Skyridge and earlier when I had more of a chance.
